Obedience classes

Our obedience classes start at Beginner Level Class 1, which covers heel work, stays, and recalls etc. As you and your dog progress, you can move on to the next class - Intermediate/Advanced Level Class 2 . 

Class 1 will help you to have better control over your dog. It should stop pulling on the lead and/or jumping up, and we help with as many behavioural issues as we can. 

This is the first step on the way to having a dog you want to take on a walk instead of 'having' to take your dog for a walk. We will help you to teach your dog control in the environments where it will be most excited.  This class is for 'fixing' dogs.

Class 2 will cover distance control, ‘A’ recall, send-away, retrieve etc. This class will push your dog to work with more complex exercises and to work more frequently off-lead.  You will also start to cover some of the agility equipment, which is something the dogs usually really enjoy.  They will be using the A-frame, dog walk, clear jumps, tunnels and seesaw, learning to work on both the left and right of the handler and to change direction on command. Once they have had a taste, you could try the beginners' agility class on Sunday mornings!

Class 2 - Please arrive 10/15 minutes early for your first visit.
