Agility is great fun for both dog and handler!
Dog agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs normally run off-lead with no food or toys as incentives, and the handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles. Consequently the handler’s controls are limited to voice, movement, and various body signals, requiring exceptional training of the animal and coordination of the handler.
DTCE provides an array of agility classes, and some are combined with our obedience classes in order to avoid any unnecessary standing around.
Agility is not just a sport for Border Collies - dogs of all shapes and sizes can enjoy it. We have many options with our equipment to allow even the smallest of dogs to enjoy and participate in the classes.
